At only 11 kilometers from the city of Chetumal off the Chetumal-Belize highway you will find the Belize Free Zone.
There you can shop at many duty free stores and find a vast array of duty free merchandise. These products include clothing, parfumes, liquors, electronic products, restaurants and casino's. It harbors over three hundred stores.
You can also try your luck at any of the three well known Casino's.
To get to the Belize Free Zone you just drive toward Belize and cross the Rio Hondo.
No documents or pasports need to be filled out or stamped as you do not go through Belize immigration; you only pay an entrance fee of approximately $1.00 Usd.
